Work Schedule
Three 12-hour scheduled shifts including days, overnights, and weekends. Not on-call standby duty.
About the Role
You'll be at the heart of a busy emergency and referral hospital, working alongside Registered Veterinary Technicians and Emergency Veterinarians to deliver compassionate patient care when it matters most. Every shift brings variety—from patient support to client communication to light administrative tasks. Schedules are planned one month in advance, giving you real predictability and the chance to actually enjoy your time off.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and RVTs with patient care, including hands-on support and monitoring
- Communicate with clients to provide updates, answer questions, and offer reassurance during stressful moments
- Handle billing, payments, and light administrative work
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility for patients and their owners
- Support the team across multiple duties—flexibility and adaptability are valued here
Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of veterinary hospital experience
- Comfort working overnights, weekends, holidays, and 12-hour shifts
- Strong client communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Genuine passion for helping animals and their owners
