About the Role

Wilson's Animal Hospital, a cornerstone of the St. Catharines community since 1949, is looking for an experienced and confident Lead Veterinarian to help guide the medical team through an exciting period of growth. This is a key leadership position ideal for a veterinarian with substantial experience who thrives on mentoring others, raising clinical standards, and helping a hospital evolve while honouring its deep community roots.

You'll provide a strong medical voice within the clinic, mentor a dedicated team of DVMs, RVTs, and support staff, and lead with confidence through upcoming organizational changes. Your role is to maintain high standards of patient care and client communication while fostering a collaborative, positive culture that reflects the hospital's long-standing reputation for compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strong and consistent medical leadership and clinical direction
• Support, develop, and mentor DVMs, RVTs, and support staff
• Guide the team through organizational changes with confidence and clarity
• Maintain high standards of patient care, client communication, and team development
• Foster a collaborative, positive workplace culture that reflects the hospital's compassionate values

Requirements

• Provincial DVM licence
• Surgical experience
• Strong work ethic and commitment to high-quality patient care
• Willingness to go above and beyond to meet the needs of clients and patients
