As a mobile veterinarian, you'll deliver high-quality in-home care to companion animals in their own environments—a uniquely rewarding approach that strengthens the bond between pets, their families, and you. You'll work independently with strong remote team support, managing your own schedule while handling multiple in-home appointments daily. The role requires confidence in diagnoses and treatment planning, excellent communication with pet owners, and a genuine passion for compassionate, personalized care. If you're comfortable working with dogs and cats of all temperaments (including anxious, fearful, or aggressive animals) and thrive in a flexible, autonomous setting, this could be your perfect fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct multiple in-home veterinary appointments daily, delivering friendly, high-quality care to companion animals
• Perform a range of non-surgical services including physical exams, vaccinations, fine-needle aspirates, small lump removal, blood/urine collection, suturing, nail trims, and home euthanasia
• Ensure safety for yourself and clients during restraint and treatment of animals
• Maintain meticulous medical records and follow-up communication, ensuring clients receive test results promptly and understand treatment options
• Remain punctual, professional, and collaborative—keeping clients informed and confident in decision-making about their pet's care
• Comply with all Vets to Go and Alberta Veterinary Medical Association policies and guidelines

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a veterinary practice
• Fully licensed Veterinarian in Alberta, registered in good standing with the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association
• Knowledgeable about Calgary and/or Edmonton; comfortable and confident driving in urban environments
• Experienced and comfortable working with dogs and cats of all types, sizes, and temperaments, including anxious, fearful, or aggressive animals
• Able to work independently with remote team support, manage time and priorities effectively, and stay on schedule
• Strong diagnostic and clinical confidence; ability to carry out and communicate treatment plans clearly
• Adaptable problem-solver with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Passionate about providing personalized, compassionate care and making a tangible difference in pets' lives
