About the Role

You're an RVT who loves small animal practice and wants to work somewhere that actually prioritizes your wellbeing. Paisley Veterinary Services is a four-veterinarian, woman-owned independent clinic with 17 team members, located in the charming town of Paisley. The clinic building is spacious, bright, and filled with natural light—and you'll appreciate the ample parking and proximity to local shops and restaurants.

Your typical workweek runs four ten-hour shifts (Monday to Friday), with light on-call duties averaging just 1–2 weekends and 3–4 weeknights per year. Incoming emergency calls are triaged by Vetwise, so you're not managing chaos alone. You'll rotate through surgery, appointments (including tech-led appointments), laboratory, pharmacy, and reception—keeping your skills sharp and your days varied.

The practice culture is dedicated and fun. The team intentionally takes care of staff so you can deliver excellent patient care. In quieter moments, you'll share stories and laugh together. Veterinary medicine comes with inherent pressure; here, you'll face it as a supported team member, not solo.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform surgical assistance and surgical nursing tasks
• Support veterinarian-led and tech-led appointment appointments
• Manage laboratory and pharmacy duties
• Cover reception as part of shift rotation
• Respond to on-call duties (approximately 1–2 weekends and 3–4 weeknights annually)
• Deliver compassionate small animal care aligned with the clinic's friendly, empathetic approach

Requirements

• Valid RVT registration (or eligible to register in Ontario)
• 1 year of veterinary technician experience (preferred)
• Passion for small animal medicine
• Ability to work Monday to Friday, four ten-hour shifts
• Willingness to participate in light on-call rotation
