Registered Veterinary Technician

About the Role

You'll work as a Registered Veterinary Technician in a practice built on team medicine and open communication. This is a part-time position with the flexibility to match your lifestyle — whether you're looking for extra hours or a carefully-managed schedule, the team will work with you to find the right fit.

Your day-to-day involves building genuine relationships with clients and their pets, assisting veterinarians with medical, surgical, and dental procedures, preparing patients and instruments for surgery, and administering and monitoring medications. You'll use a range of diagnostic equipment and work alongside experienced RVTs, veterinary assistants, and client care staff who prioritize respect, communication, and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with medical, surgical, and dental procedures
• Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgery
• Administer and monitor medications under veterinary direction
• Operate diagnostic equipment
• Provide exceptional customer service and build positive client relationships
• Support the broader VetCare team across multiple practices through knowledge-sharing and collaboration

Requirements

• Passed the VTNE or eligible to write the VTNE
• In good standing with the provincial regulatory association
• Successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program
• Adaptable, compassionate, and confident in your clinical skills
• Thrive in collaborative, team-focused environments
