About the Role

Wellington Veterinary Services in Elora is seeking a part-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join a compassionate and collaborative clinic. This position is approximately 10 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours covering vacation and sick days. You'll work in a supportive, team-based environment where work-life balance is genuinely prioritized—not just talked about.

You'll assist veterinarians with medical, surgical, and dental procedures, using diagnostic equipment, preparing patients and instruments for surgery, and administering and monitoring medications. Your focus will be on building positive client relationships through genuine care and compassion, delivering exceptional customer service in every interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with medical, surgical, and dental procedures
• Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment
• Prepare patients, instruments, and surgical equipment
• Administer and monitor medications under veterinary direction

• Support the clinical team in a collaborative, respectful environment

Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification or eligibility to write the VTNE
• Completed 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program
• In good standing with the provincial regulatory association
• Genuine care and compassion for clients and their pets
