About the Role

Willowdale Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced veterinarian to join a team that genuinely values both clinical excellence and your wellbeing. You'll see 12+ appointments per shift, managing a varied small animal caseload including soft tissue surgery, preventative care, and dental procedures. This is a full-time role with opportunities to grow professionally and mentor students pursuing their DVM.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive small animal veterinary care across soft tissue surgery, preventative medicine, and dental procedures
• Manage a high-volume appointment schedule (12+ patients per shift) with attention to quality and pet parent communication
• Build strong relationships with pet owners, support staff, and colleagues to deliver collaborative, team-based medicine
• Mentor and coach veterinary students as they progress through their DVM training
• Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities
• Contribute to community initiatives and professional networking activities

Requirements

• Valid veterinarian license to practice in Canada (full license required)
• Minimum 3 years post-graduation experience
• Experience in soft tissue surgical procedures, preventative care, and dental procedures
• Dedicated to promoting team-based medicine practices
• Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues, pet parents, and the community
• Interest in mentoring and coaching students
• Passion for attending conferences and professional networking
• Genuine love for companion animals
