About the Role
Western Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Centre is seeking a full-time, Board Certified Veterinary Surgeon to join a thriving surgical team in Calgary—one of Canada's most livable cities. You'll be part of a collaborative 24-hour referral hospital with specialists across Critical Care, Ophthalmology, Oncology, Internal Medicine, Radiation Oncology, and Radiology, plus rehabilitation services. Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of surgical procedures across multiple disciplines
- Collaborate with specialists in critical care, oncology, internal medicine, and other areas to deliver integrated patient care
- Contribute to a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the surgical team
- Engage with referring veterinarians and provide consultation support
- Utilize advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment to deliver state-of-the-art care
Requirements
- Board Certification in Surgery (ACVS or equivalent)
- Current veterinary licence in Alberta
- Full-time availability
