About the Role

Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital is seeking a dependable and compassionate Animal Care Attendant to join the ER team in a crucial support role. You'll work a combination of day and night shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays—this is a genuine emergency hospital setting where your flexibility and calm demeanor matter as much as your compassion for animals.

Key Responsibilities

• Support veterinary staff with patient care tasks and treatments
• Maintain warm, welcoming interactions with pet parents during stressful situations
• Create a calm, low-stress environment for animals in your care
• Keep reception areas, pet holding areas, and common spaces clean and organized
• Learn veterinary procedures, updated medical protocols, and assist with treatments as needed
• Deliver exceptional client service during emergency visits
• Remain calm and adapt quickly in high-pressure situations
• Take initiative and work independently when needed
