Work Schedule

Regular rotation schedule includes evenings and weekends as part of standard shift work, not on-call duty.

About the Role

Juno Veterinary is building something new in Toronto, and they're looking for an RVT who's ready to grow alongside them. This isn't a traditional associate role—you'll be a Care Champion, empowered to use your full skillset and contribute to shaping how veterinary care evolves at Juno.

You'll work a regular rotation across wellness appointments, sick visits, urgent care, anesthesia days, and dentistry cases. The schedule includes evenings and weekends, giving you variety and the chance to develop expertise across multiple service lines. This is a role where your license matters: Juno is actively expanding what RVTs can do, and you'll be at the forefront of that evolution.

The culture here centres on two-way communication, continuous feedback, and a commitment to the Juno Standard of Care—gold-standard medicine delivered collaboratively, with every team member practicing at the top of their skillset. You'll join veterinary professionals who have each other's backs, celebrate wins together, and show up for the difficult moments. Beyond your technical expertise, you'll bring empathy, communication skills, and a genuine passion for patient care and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver hands-on patient care and execute treatment plans, advocating for both pets and their owners
  • Rotate across wellness, sick, urgent care, anesthesia, and dental procedures
  • Utilize your RVT license to its fullest potential—from technical skills to problem-solving and innovation
  • Perform core RVT duties: anesthesia monitoring and preparation, dental scaling and polishing, radiography, blood draws, and patient restraint
  • Communicate with empathy and integrity in all client interactions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and help shape Juno's growing service offerings
  • Uphold the Juno Standard of Care through high-quality patient care and attention to detail
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with CE and emerging research

Requirements

  • Valid Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license
  • Minimum 1+ years of clinic experience
  • General knowledge of GP practices: vaccine schedules, common medications, preventative medicine, nutrition
  • Experience in anesthesia—confident with multiparameter monitoring and medication selection
  • Dentistry foundation: scaling, polishing, radiography positioning; bonus skills include charting, oral nerve blocks, and troubleshooting
  • Strong technical foundation: patient restraint, phlebotomy, and general clinical procedures
  • Empathy, integrity, and commitment to quality care
  • Willingness to embrace change, adapt, and work collaboratively to solve problems
  • Schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly compensation: $26–$35/hour, depending on experience and skillset
  • Performance bonus component starting at $2,500, with potential for additional earnings
  • Opportunity to advance beyond the posted range based on demonstrated expertise and impact
  • Access to continuous professional development and CE opportunities
  • Collaborative work environment with regular feedback and open communication
  • Role with high autonomy—you'll practice at the top of your RVT license
  • Founder-led culture focused on building the future of veterinary care
