Registered Veterinary Technician

Pickering Animal Hospital is looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician who genuinely cares about animals and clients alike. As an RVT here, you'll assist veterinarians with medical, surgical, and dental procedures, operate a range of diagnostic equipment, prepare patients and instruments for surgery, and administer and monitor medications under veterinary supervision. You'll also build positive client relationships by demonstrating genuine care, respect, and exceptional customer service. This is a full-time position offering flexibility—the practice is open to part-time arrangements if that suits your life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with medical, surgical, and dental procedures
• Operate diagnostic equipment and prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgery
• Administer and monitor medications under veterinary direction
• Build and maintain positive client relationships through compassionate, respectful interactions
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients and their pets

Requirements

• Passed the VTNE or eligible to write the VTNE
• In good standing with the provincial regulatory association (PVT)
• Completed a 2- or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program
• Demonstrated compassion for animals and clients
