As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you'll work alongside experienced RVTs, veterinary assistants, and client care staff who genuinely value communication, respect, and clinical excellence. You'll assist veterinarians with medical, surgical, and dental procedures, using diagnostic equipment, preparing patients and instruments, and administering and monitoring medications under veterinary supervision. Your role centres on building positive client relationships through genuine care, compassion, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with medical, surgical, and dental procedures
• Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment
• Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures
• Administer and monitor medications under veterinary direction
• Build positive client relationships through compassionate, respectful interactions
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients and support for their pets
• Collaborate with the team to maintain clinical excellence

Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) credentials with OAVT or eligibility to write the VTNE
• Completion of a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program
• Good standing with provincial regulatory association
• Genuine care and compassion for clients and animals
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
