About the Role
This is a tenure-track faculty position that balances clinical expertise with academic leadership. You'll spend 50% of your time on clinical teaching and service delivery, working with equine and food animal cases at both the primary care and referral levels. The remaining time supports your scholarly pursuits—mentoring graduate students and residents, developing research programs, and advancing the field through publication and grant activity.
On-call duties are shared among three faculty members, ensuring sustainable coverage. You'll teach didactic lectures to DVM undergraduates, supervise graduate students, and formalize training for interns and residents. This is a position that values the teacher-scholar model: clinicians who push the field forward while genuinely investing in student development.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clinical care to equine and food animal cases (cattle, small ruminants) at primary and referral levels
- Teach didactic lectures to DVM undergraduate students

Requirements
- DVM degree or international equivalent
- Advanced postgraduate degree (MSc or PhD)
- Diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) OR completion of an ACVIM-registered residency program
- Ability to provide clinical service to production animals (cattle, small ruminants) alongside equine medicine
- Proven publication record and demonstrated success in securing research grants
- Previous academic experience, particularly in equine medicine
- Excellent communication and teaching skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in clinical and teaching environments
