Veterinary Assistant

About the Role

You'll be the bridge between our veterinarians, RVTs, and pet parents—educating clients on medication dosage and purpose, home care instructions, vaccination schedules, and preventative health strategies. Working collaboratively with the team, you'll help explain lab work and diagnostics in ways clients truly understand. Your day-to-day includes greeting animals, handling them with calm confidence, and creating an environment where they feel safe and cared for.

This is a full-time position in a practice equipped with laser surgery, stem cell therapy, dentistry, cold laser therapy, in-house lab facilities, and digital radiology. You'll be part of a 20-year-old practice where hard work, compassion, and genuine teamwork aren't just values—they're how things actually run.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel and educate clients on medication administration, dosage, and therapeutic purpose
• Communicate home care instructions and post-treatment guidance
• Explain vaccination requirements and preventative healthcare recommendations
• Suggest and clarify laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing with clients
• Greet, handle, and care for animals in a way that keeps them calm and secure
• Support RVTs and veterinarians in daily clinical activities

Requirements

• Passion for animal care and client communication
• Ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians, RVTs, and support staff
• Physical capability to safely handle and restrain animals
• Flexibility to work a full-time schedule
