About the Role
Beattie Pet Hospital East Hamilton is seeking RVTs with diverse clinical experience to join a family-owned, AAHA-accredited team. This is a full-time position built around a sustainable schedule: four 10–12 hour shifts per week, with no on-call or night shift obligations. You'll head home after your shift to spend time with friends and family — that's the promise here.
You'll work across patient care, emergency medicine, and surgical monitoring, supported by an experienced team every step of the way. Strong client communication and a genuine commitment to compassionate care are essential. The hospital features a paperless system, digital radiography, in-house laboratory facilities, and laser surgery capabilities. A structured phase training program is in place to help you settle in and grow professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on patient care across emergency and routine cases
- Monitor and assist with surgical procedures
- Communicate effectively with clients about their pets' care and treatment
- Support the diagnostic and treatment capabilities of the practice (lab work, radiography, laser surgery)
- Contribute to a respectful, compassionate workplace culture
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) credential or equivalent
- Diverse clinical experience in small animal medicine
- Comfort with emergency medicine and surgical support
- Strong client service and communication skills
