Schedule includes evenings and weekends (shifts, not on-call standby).

About the Role

Juno Veterinary is expanding in Toronto, and this is your chance to be part of something from the ground up. As an Animal Care Attendant, you'll be the clinic keeper—the person who makes every visit feel welcoming and compassionate for pets and their humans. You'll support the RVT and DVM team in treatment areas, manage patient flow, and maintain the gold-standard care that defines Juno's approach to medicine.

This role requires schedule flexibility, including evenings and weekends. You'll be on your feet for extended periods, anticipating needs before they're asked and collaborating closely with your ACA teammates. This is an expression of interest for future openings in the Toronto area, not an immediate vacancy—but if you're ready to grow with a practice that values two-way communication and continuous learning, Juno wants to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on patient care as the primary focus, ensuring comfort and safety throughout appointments
  • Support RVT and DVM teams in treatment and patient care areas to keep appointments flowing smoothly
  • Proactively plan and organize the day's schedule, communicating what's needed for each appointment
  • Maintain sterilization and cleanliness protocols to prevent infectious disease transmission
  • Remain responsive to feedback and coaching, continuously working to improve your skills
  • Collaborate with ACA colleagues to share knowledge and strengthen team coordination
  • Represent Juno's gold standard of care in every interaction with patients, clients, and the team

Requirements

  • Minimum 1+ years of animal care, husbandry, and handling experience in a veterinary clinic setting
  • Previous experience as an ACA or Veterinary Assistant
  • Strong understanding of spay/neuter procedures and cleanliness protocols for infection control
  • Previous customer-facing experience
  • Strong communication skills and keen attention to detail
  • Ability to anticipate patient and team needs
  • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
  • Team-oriented mindset with commitment to ongoing learning and collaboration

Benefits

  • Hourly compensation: $20–$24 per hour (based on experience and skillset)
  • Transparent compensation discussions throughout the interview process
  • Culture focused on continuous feedback and open communication
  • Access to a team of veterinary professionals practicing at the top of their licence
  • Opportunity to grow within Juno's expanding Toronto practices
