About the Role

VetStrategy operates a expansive network of veterinary hospitals across Canada, and they're actively recruiting Associate Veterinarians who are passionate about providing compassionate, comprehensive care. Whether you're a recent graduate or a final-year student looking to launch your career, or an experienced vet seeking a supportive environment to deepen your skills, this is an opportunity to practice the full scope of veterinary medicine—including dentistry and surgery—alongside experienced mentors and a collaborative team.

You'll conduct thorough consultations and diagnostics, perform routine and advanced surgeries, manage patient care from pre-op through post-operative follow-up, and develop clinical protocols with the Medical Director. The focus is on learning, growth, and a work culture where you're respected as a clinician and supported as a professional.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough consultations and diagnostic workups
  • Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures
  • Develop and implement treatment and surgical protocols in collaboration with the Medical Director
  • Manage accurate patient records and client billing
  • Provide post-operative care and follow-up management
  • Review cases and collaborate with the Medical Director and support staff
  • Supervise and mentor veterinary technicians and assistants

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Licensed or eligible for licensing in Ontario (or the province where you'll practice)
  • Strong clinical skills in medicine and surgery
  • Excellent communication and client service abilities
  • A commitment to professional ethics and continuous improvement
