Pet Groomer
Join Baywood Animal Hospital's growing grooming team in Midhurst and work alongside a supportive veterinary staff. You'll have the autonomy to build client relationships, develop grooming protocols, and mentor future team members.
About the Role
Baywood Animal Hospital is building a dedicated grooming department, and they're looking for an experienced groomer to lead this expansion. You'll deliver professional grooming services while working closely with the veterinary team in a collaborative environment. The role offers genuine autonomy—you'll independently manage your client base, develop grooming offerings, and help shape protocols and pricing strategies as the department grows.
This is an opportunity to be more than just a groomer: you'll mentor new staff as the team expands, identify health concerns during grooming sessions, and contribute directly to how the grooming services evolve. If you're someone who values both independence and teamwork, and you take pride in breed-specific styling and animal care, this role aligns with your career.

- Handle every pet with patience, compassion, and adherence to safety standards
- Observe and communicate skin, coat, or health concerns to the veterinary team
- Deliver exceptional customer service and grooming consultations with pet owners
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming salon
- Care for and maintain grooming equipment
- Assist with scheduling appointments and daily workflow management

- Mentor and support future grooming staff as the department grows
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of professional grooming experience
- Strong knowledge of breed-specific cuts and grooming techniques
- Experience grooming dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments (cat grooming experience is an asset)

- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a veterinary team
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and professionalism
- Grooming certification
