Join Clinique Vétérinaire de la Gatineau as Practice Manager and take the helm of a practice that genuinely values its people. Based in Chelsea, QC, this is a full-time position where you'll partner with the practice director and clinical leadership to ensure the team delivers quality patient care while maintaining operational excellence. You'll manage scheduling against budget constraints, oversee payroll and time-off approvals, coordinate locum veterinarians as needed, and handle accounting and vendor payments. You'll also supervise inventory management and track performance against monthly KPIs. Beyond the administrative side, you'll mentor and lead the team, set performance expectations, deliver constructive feedback, and foster a workplace culture built on collaboration and mutual respect.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee quality patient care delivery and positive client relationships in collaboration with the director and clinical leadership
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, hospital protocols, and regulatory requirements
• Manage staff scheduling within budget parameters and approve time-off requests
• Coordinate payroll processing and locum veterinarian scheduling as needed
• Handle accounting, vendor payments, and financial record-keeping
• Supervise inventory management and stock control
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) on a monthly basis
• Lead, coach, and manage team members; establish clear performance expectations and provide constructive feedback
• Foster a collaborative, respectful workplace culture

Requirements

• Experience in veterinary practice management or equivalent operations/administrative leadership role
• Strong organizational and financial management skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
• Proficiency with scheduling, payroll, and basic accounting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of veterinary practice operations and regulatory compliance
