Help shape pricing strategy across nearly 1,000 veterinary hospitals. Data-driven role with enterprise impact — join NVA's Business Operations team in Oakville.

About the Role

National Veterinary Associates is looking for a Pricing Analyst to join the Business Operations team and drive data-informed pricing strategies across its network of veterinary hospitals. This is a high-impact role where your analysis directly influences how hundreds of clinics serve their communities while maintaining healthy margins and fair pricing practices.

You'll evaluate sales patterns, benchmark pricing across markets, and model scenarios to support strategic recommendations. The role balances the business side—revenue growth and margin health—with real understanding of how pricing decisions affect both clinic operations and the clients and pets they serve. Reporting to the Pricing Senior Manager, you'll work closely with operations, data, and marketing teams, as well as veterinarians and hospital leaders who understand the clinical context. The position requires minimal in-office presence—just 3 days per month at the Oakville head office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze historical sales, service utilization, and client purchasing behaviour to identify pricing opportunities
  • Benchmark pricing across hospitals, markets, and competitors to ensure fairness and competitiveness
  • Model pricing scenarios and measure potential revenue and client impact
  • Support development of guidelines and frameworks for consistent, scalable enterprise pricing practices
  • Track KPIs including revenue growth, margin performance, price realization, and discounting practices
  • Identify pricing anomalies across clinics and surface recommendations to leadership
  • Prepare regular reporting to monitor outcomes after pricing changes
  • Support improvements to data accuracy and consistency across multiple systems
  • Contribute to development of pricing tools, templates, and processes that hospitals can easily adopt
  • Partner with Operations, Data, and Marketing teams to align pricing strategies with clinic workflows and brand standards
  • Translate technical analysis into clear, actionable insights for executive and clinic-level audiences

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field (Master's degree a plus)
  • 2+ years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or data analytics—preferably in healthcare, retail, or other multi-location businesses
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets across multiple systems
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling)
  • Experience with query languages (SQL) and programming languages (R, Python) preferred
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to connect data insights to business realities—including clinic operations and client experiences
  • Understanding of revenue, cost, and margin drivers in service-based businesses
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify complex findings
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across corporate teams and hospital leadership
  • Empathy for client and patient experience, with sensitivity to pricing's role in veterinary care decisions

Benefits

  • Salary: $75,000–$95,000 CAD, commensurate with experience
  • Eligible for annual incentive bonus
  • Comprehensive health and dental benefits
  • RRSP matching program
  • Three weeks' vacation, plus floating holiday and personal day
  • Collaborative and supportive team culture
  • Additional benefits designed to support wellbeing and success
