As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you'll support veterinarians during medical, surgical, and dental procedures. Your responsibilities include using diagnostic equipment, preparing patients and instruments, and administering and monitoring medications under veterinary supervision. You'll build trust-based relationships with clients and their animals through genuine care, empathy, and attentive service. The practice's philosophy is simple: come for the medicine, stay for the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during medical, surgical, and dental interventions
- Operate diagnostic equipment and prepare patients, instruments, and materials
- Administer and monitor medications under veterinary supervision
- Build and maintain trust-based client relationships through compassionate, respectful care
- Deliver high-quality customer service in all client interactions
Requirements
- Successful completion of the National Animal Health Technician Exam (ENTSA) OR eligibility to write the exam
- Current registration with the provincial regulatory body (Ordre des technologues professionnels du Québec)
- Completion of an accredited Canadian 2- or 3-year veterinary technician or animal health technician diploma program
- Demonstrated ability to establish trust with clients and animals through attentiveness and empathy
