About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time veterinary position offering variety across small animal, mixed, and herd medicine. You'll work a flexible schedule (early mornings, mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call rotations) in a fast-paced clinic environment where no two days are quite the same. The role includes hands-on diagnostics, surgery, emergency care, and the full spectrum of veterinary services — from vaccinations and dentistry to obstetrics and euthanasia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose diseases and abnormal conditions through physical examinations and laboratory testing
  • Treat sick or injured animals using medication, surgical intervention, bone-setting, and wound care
  • Vaccinate animals and counsel clients on disease prevention and general animal care
  • Advise clients on feeding, housing, behaviour, breeding, and hygiene protocols
  • Perform routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations
  • Deliver specialized services including obstetrics, dentistry, and euthanasia
  • Supervise animal health technologists and animal care workers (5–10 staff members)

Requirements

  • Degree in veterinary medicine (DVM or equivalent)
  • Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) certification
  • Authorized to work in Canada
  • Available to start as soon as possible
  • Experience in the field is an asset
  • Willingness to work flexible scheduling, including shifts and on-call duty
