Veterinary Specialist, Cardiology

About the Role

Mississauga Oakville Veterinary Emergency Hospital (MOVH) is building its cardiology team and seeking an experienced veterinarian specialist ready to make an impact in a supportive, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized cardiology diagnostics and treatment for companion animals
• Build strong relationships with pet parents to provide compassionate, high-quality care

• Mentor and support veterinary students in their clinical learning
• Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities

Requirements

• Valid veterinarian licence to practice in Canada
• Experience in soft tissue surgical procedures, preventative care, and nutritional advice
• Board certification or advanced training in cardiology (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal skills with colleagues, pet parents, and the community
• Commitment to team-based medicine practices
• Passion for coaching and mentoring veterinary students
• Interest in professional development, conferences, and networking
• Genuine love for companion animals
