Veterinary Surgeon
Board-certified surgeon wanted: Join Edmonton's top specialty team with a 10+ year foundation of trust, collaboration, and exceptional patient care. State-of-the-art facility expanding with MRI and dedicated ICU.
About the Role
Guardian Veterinary Centre is expanding its specialty surgical team and seeking a Small Animal Board Certified Surgeon to join a collaborative, highly respected group. You'll work alongside specialists who have built something rare in veterinary medicine — a cohesive team of 10+ years with shared values, mutual respect, and a genuine commitment to exceptional patient care.
This is a position where your expertise will be valued and utilized. The practice has invested significantly in state-of-the-art infrastructure: a newly expanded 20,000 square foot facility (with an additional 10,000 sq ft opening this year) featuring CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, arthroscopy, and an incoming MRI. Quick-turnaround clinical pathology via onsite digital cytology analyzer means your cases run smoothly. You'll work with highly skilled Registered Veterinary Technicians who are empowered and eager to support your work, alongside an energetic emergency team that respects the specialty departments.
Edmonton itself is a draw: urban parkland spanning 7,300+ hectares along the North Saskatchewan River, world-class festivals (Folk Fest, Fringe, Symphony Under the Sky), easy access to Jasper and Banff National Parks for hiking, camping, and skiing, and a vibrant cultural scene anchored by Rogers Place and the Edmonton Oilers.
