About the Role
Vet et Nous is seeking two Registered Veterinary Technicians to join their small animal practice in Brossard. This is a full-time position offering a mix of shift schedules—early mornings, days, evenings, nights, and weekends—so you'll find a rhythm that works for you. You'll be hands-on from day one, working directly with the veterinarian to deliver quality care to patients and their families.
The role combines hands-on animal care with client education, giving you the chance to build meaningful relationships with both animals and their owners. Whether you're assisting in surgery, preparing medications, or counseling clients on pet health, you'll be part of a team that values your expertise and supports your professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle, restrain, and provide care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery
- Assist the veterinarian before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under veterinary direction
- Administer prescribed treatments and monitor patient recovery
- Counsel pet owners on animal health care and preventive measures
- Provide wound care and bandaging services
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Registered Animal Health Technologist credential
- Provincial or territorial licensure as required by Quebec authorities
- 1–2 years of veterinary experience
- Degree in veterinary medicine or related field
- Fluency in French (position language requirement)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends
