Join a supportive Penticton team in a beautiful new hospital where colleagues actually scrub in to help with surgery, and your ideas are welcomed. Beaches, lakes, wineries, hiking, skiing — the Okanagan lifestyle awaits.

About the Role

Anderson Veterinary Clinic is recruiting an Associate Veterinarian to join their team in stunning Penticton, BC. If you're drawn to a practice where the team genuinely supports one another — where someone's always happy to lend a hand in surgery or champion a better way of doing things — this could be your next home. The clinic's new, purpose-built hospital reflects a philosophy centred on veterinarian wellbeing and mental health, with a strong support team backing you up every day.

You'll work with primarily small animals, with opportunities to pursue exotics if that appeals to you. The role blends surgery, dentistry, and appointments, and the practice welcomes veterinarians who bring fresh ideas and aren't afraid to try new approaches. Beyond the work itself, Penticton offers year-round Okanagan living: pristine beaches and lakes, world-class wineries, excellent hiking, and skiing — all within easy reach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide small animal veterinary care including surgery, dentistry, and general appointments
  • Collaborate with a supportive team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Contribute ideas and participate in practice improvements
  • Work with exotic animals as interest and opportunity allow

Requirements

  • Valid veterinary licence to practise in British Columbia (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • DVM or equivalent qualification
  • Interest in a mixed caseload of surgery, dentistry, and general practice
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute ideas

Benefits

  • Salary: $110,000–$120,000 annually
  • Monthly performance bonuses
  • Continuing education support
  • Paid vacation and sick days
  • Relocation assistance available

About the Practice

Anderson Veterinary Clinic operates as part of NVA Canada, a network of veterinary hospitals across the country. The practice is housed in a brand-new facility designed to support both animal care and team wellbeing. Mental health and work-life balance are genuine priorities, not just policy statements — the culture reflects a real commitment to looking after staff.

Located in Penticton's vibrant Okanagan region, the clinic serves a community with year-round recreational opportunities and strong quality-of-life appeal for relocating professionals.
