Looking for a part-time opportunity that lets you build diverse clinical experience without the grind? Bathurst Animal Hospital in North York is seeking a compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join a collaborative 3-DVM team that actually prioritizes quality care over volume.

This role is ideal if you're complementing another professional commitment, exploring a new practice environment, or simply want the breathing room that part-time work provides. The practice sees a diverse small animal caseload and takes a thorough, thoughtful approach to diagnostics and treatment, with genuine emphasis on client education and building lasting relationships. You'll enjoy a flexible 20–28 hour per week schedule with no on-call or emergency requirements — just approximately 1 in 3 Saturdays. The well-equipped facility includes in-house lab, dedicated surgical and dental suites, and ultrasound capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate small animal medical care to cats and dogs
• Perform routine and advanced dentistry and surgery
• Conduct thorough diagnostics using in-house laboratory, ultrasound, and other equipment
• Educate clients and develop treatment plans collaboratively with the team
• Consider exotic cases (small mammals, small birds, potentially reptiles) as opportunities arise
• Work alongside 5 RVTs, 2 Receptionists, and 2 Veterinary Assistants to ensure excellent patient outcomes

Requirements

• Valid veterinary licence (Ontario or Canadian equivalent)
• Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience
• Comfort and competency with dentistry and surgery
• Interest in exotic animal medicine is a bonus (not required)
