About the Role

Islington Village Animal Hospital in West Toronto is actively seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join a collaborative and supportive team of 5 DVMs. This is a practice built on the idea that great medicine happens when veterinarians have genuine work-life balance—and they mean it. You'll work a 4-day week with weekends off, in a modern, well-equipped facility where variety is built into every day.

The practice encourages you to develop clinical interests in surgery and dentistry if that appeals to you, but there's no pressure to specialize. Whether you're passionate about specific procedures or you thrive on the variety of general practice, the team creates the flexibility for you to practice in a way that feels fulfilling. The clinic is closed on weekends, meaning no on-call duties pulling you back in—just genuine downtime to recharge.

You'll have access to modern tools including 4 exam rooms, ultrasound, and Scribe Note AI technology to streamline medical record keeping so you can focus on patient care and clinical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general veterinary medicine to small animal patients in a supportive team environment
• Collaborate with 4 experienced DVMs who actively support one another and share knowledge
• Perform surgical and dental procedures as your interests develop
• Utilize modern diagnostic equipment including ultrasound and digital records
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused practice culture

Requirements

• Valid DVM or equivalent veterinary degree
• Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Ontario
• Experience in small animal general practice (experience level not specified; new graduates may be considered)

• Base compensation: $125,000–$145,000 CAD annually, based on experience
