About the Role

Your responsibilities span team management (scheduling, onboarding, annual reviews, coaching), talent acquisition (sourcing locum DVMs and RVTs), inventory and budget oversight, and financial management. You'll also champion the practice on social media, celebrating team wins and connecting with the community. Whether you're resolving client concerns with empathy or streamlining workflows, your problem-solving and communication skills will keep operations smooth and morale high. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a collaborative team environment; conduct hiring, onboarding, coaching, and annual performance reviews
- Manage team schedules and source locum DVMs and RVTs as needed
- Oversee practice inventory, budgets, and all financial management
- Resolve operational and client issues swiftly using empathy and problem-solving skills
- Manage HR functions to foster engagement and a thriving workplace culture
- Represent the practice on social media and community engagement
- Work flexible hours to meet team and practice needs
Requirements
- 2–3 years of team management or supervisory experience
- HR management experience
- Financial and budget management experience
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
- Excellent communication and feedback skills
- Conflict resolution and change management skills
- Veterinary industry knowledge and/or project management experience (recommended)
- Veterinary software systems knowledge (asset)
- Clinical or veterinary experience (bonus)
- Flexibility and willingness to work varied hours
