You'll partner with Lead Veterinarians to create an environment of collaboration and cohesion while overseeing all clinic operations across people, functions, care quality, and client experience.

Your focus on people leadership means building the right team, developing their skills, and creating a dynamic workplace where collaboration flourishes. You'll drive clinic performance through P&L management, operational metrics, and strategic planning—all while embodying Juno's commitment to gold-standard medicine and genuine team support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a diverse team of veterinary professionals, ensuring accountability and fostering continuous growth
  • Drive clinic performance by managing P&L, revenue, labour ratios, and member acquisition targets
  • Monitor key performance indicators and act on variance reporting to optimize operations
  • Manage individual performance, ensuring team members meet standards for work quality, client satisfaction, teamwork, and embodiment of Juno's culture
  • Own appointment scheduling and workflow optimization to maximize productivity and seamless client experience
  • Recruit top talent, lead onboarding, and identify development opportunities across the clinic team
  • Provide regular feedback and support ongoing skill development for productive clinic operations
  • Represent your team's perspectives and needs during leadership discussions
  • Create and maintain regular communication cadences, meetings, and opportunities for in-clinic leaders to connect with peers
  • Address client escalations personally or route to appropriate parties for prompt resolution
  • Lead implementation of Juno's brand values to maximize team engagement and mutual support
  • Create and manage DVM and team schedules based on labour operating plans and appointment flow
  • Solve staffing gaps through thoughtful recruitment and skill-gap development
  • Participate in innovative technology evaluation and provide frequent, productive feedback
  • Approve and monitor timesheets for payroll and manage relief coverage
  • Aid in conflict resolution among team members and clients, collaborating with People Operations as needed
  • Lead wellness initiatives to ensure team health and wellbeing remain top priority
  • Ensure adequate inventory and resources so the team functions at optimal capacity
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and excellence

Requirements

  • 3+ years of leadership experience with a strong passion for people leadership
  • Previous veterinary experience preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Courage to make tough decisions in support of your team and the business
  • Demonstrated ability to create belonging and build strong team morale
  • Skill in establishing open dialogue, feedback, and collaboration
  • Ability to build trust and gain confidence through connection, integrity, and authenticity
  • Experience managing labour plans, budgets, and problem-solving efficiently and effectively
  • Proficiency reading clinic P&Ls, including budget forecasting and variance reporting
  • Collaborative, can-do attitude with willingness to roll up your sleeves and be hands-on
  • High emotional intelligence and adaptability to team, client, and business needs

Benefits

  • Competitive salary: $80,000–$105,000 per year (reflecting variations in experience and skillset, with opportunity to reach top end through demonstrated growth and excellence)
  • Performance bonus component starting at 10%, providing opportunity for additional earnings
  • Possibility of salary above range for candidates with exceptional experience and proven impact
