Practice Manager
Juno Veterinary is building the next generation of animal care in Vancouver—and they're looking ahead for Practice Managers who can lead with heart. Help shape a team that feels supported while delivering exceptional medicine.
Work Schedule
Role requires evening and weekend work as a scheduled responsibility; not on-call standby duty.
About the Role
Juno Veterinary is growing in Vancouver, and this is your chance to connect about future Practice Manager opportunities as new clinics launch. This isn't an application for an immediate opening—it's an expression of interest that lets Juno learn about you and reach out when the right role emerges.
As Practice Manager, you'll report to the Clinic Operations Lead and oversee all people, functions, care, and member experience to ensure the clinic operates optimally. You'll work closely with the in-clinic Medical Director to build a dynamic, high-performing team. This is a leadership role for someone passionate about mentoring and coaching—someone who thrives when helping others grow and creating a workplace where people genuinely want to show up.
The role does require evening and weekend work, occasional local travel for training and cross-functional meetings with the support centre team, and the emotional resilience to work with members and patients who may be experiencing distress or frustration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a diverse team, recruiting top talent, onboarding new staff, and identifying growth opportunities
- Manage team performance and accountability across work quality, member satisfaction, teamwork, patient care, and alignment with Juno's values
- Own the appointment schedule: plan strategically, maximize productivity, and ensure seamless daily appointment flow
- Build and refine clinic schedules (including DVMs) based on labour plans and appointment flow; identify and solve staffing or skill gaps
- Provide regular feedback and coaching to support ongoing skill development and productive clinic operations
- Advocate for your team during leadership discussions, ensuring their voices are heard and their perspectives are visible
- Establish regular communication cadence and meetings; create opportunities for in-clinic leads to present and connect with peers
- Address member escalations personally or route them promptly to the appropriate team
- Implement Juno Brand Tenets to maximize job satisfaction and foster mutual support among team members
- Approve and monitor timesheets for payroll; manage relief coverage as needed
- Support conflict resolution between team members and members, collaborating with People Operations when needed
- Lead wellness initiatives and activities that support the health and well-being of the clinic team
- Ensure inventory and resources are maintained so the team can function at peak capacity
- Evaluate innovative technology platforms and provide constructive feedback
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and excellence

- Ability to build trust through authenticity, integrity, and genuine connection
- Experience managing labour plans and budgets with efficient problem-solving
- Collaborative, hands-on attitude with a go-getter mentality
- High emotional intelligence and adaptability to changing team, member, and business needs
