About the Role
Clinique vétérinaire de la Gatineau is seeking an experienced veterinarian to join their Chelsea-based team in a role that balances hands-on clinical work with mentorship and autonomy. You'll take the lead on complex medical cases, perform surgical and dental procedures, and manage emergency situations with confidence—all within a genuinely collaborative environment where your input shapes patient care and team decisions.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide primary clinical care for small animal patients, supported by licensed veterinary technicians and assistants
- Perform surgical interventions and dental procedures independently
- Manage complex medical cases and make autonomous clinical decisions
- Respond to emergency situations and urgent patient needs
- Collaborate with the wider team to maintain high standards of clinical excellence and patient communication
- Contribute to team leadership through mentorship and knowledge-sharing
Requirements
- 3–7 years of veterinary experience in small animal practice
- Current Quebec general practice licence (or eligibility at time of application)
- Strong surgical and dental skills, with ability to manage complex cases independently
- Demonstrated competency in emergency medicine and critical thinking
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Emotional intelligence and a collaborative approach to patient care and team dynamics
