Work Schedule

No on-call as first full-time DVM. On-call at Englehart begins only if a second doctor is added. Flexible scheduling options include rotational block coverage (e.g., 2 weeks on / 1 week off, or 1 week/month) with travel and accommodation provided.

About the Role

This is a genuine work-life balance opportunity. As the first full-time veterinarian at Englehart Animal Hospital, you carry no on-call duties (on-call begins only if a second doctor joins). You'll have true flexibility: work full-time (4–5 days/week), part-time, or on rotational block coverage (e.g., 2 weeks on / 1 week off) with travel and accommodation fully covered. The "try before you move" pathway lets you start with blocks or part-time hours and transition to permanent full-time whenever you're ready.

Englehart is a small, walkable community where everything is within reach—and the outdoors are minutes away. Kap-Kig-Iwan Provincial Park is just 3.1 km down the road, offering year-round hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and waterfalls. This is a place where you can actually have a life outside the clinic and still deliver exceptional veterinary medicine.

You'll be joining a collaborative team of experienced RVTs, veterinary assistants, and client care staff who prioritize both quality medicine and team culture.
