Veterinarian, Internal Medicine
Ready to lead an Internal Medicine department at a cutting-edge referral centre in BC's stunning Okanagan Valley? Tri Lake is building something special—and they want a DACVIM specialist to help shape it.
Work Schedule
No on-call duty mentioned. Position is scheduled full-time at the facility.
About the Role
Tri Lake Animal Hospital & Referral Centre in Lake Country is seeking a board-certified Internal Medicine specialist to take the helm of their growing IM department. This is a rare opportunity to build and mentor a specialty service from the ground up at a hospital with serious infrastructure—think 64-slice CT, state-of-the-art ultrasound, endoscopy suite, and a dedicated team ready to collaborate.
You'll work in a hybrid practice that balances general medicine, exotics, and expanding specialties (Surgery, Rehab, Behaviour, Oncology). The hospital recently expanded its emergency department with overnight services and 24/7 DVM support, meaning you're part of a growing, forward-thinking organization. Lake Country sits in the heart of the Okanagan—world-class wineries, outdoor recreation, skiing, hiking, and a tight-knit community that values quality of life as much as quality medicine.
VCA Canada, the parent organization, is genuinely committed to work-life balance and continuous learning. You'll have access to extensive in-house resources, leadership development pathways, and a supportive culture that treats you like a professional, not a number.
