Associate Veterinarian
Join Juno's King West clinic as an Associate DVM and help shape the future of veterinary medicine—where your clinical skills, leadership, and compassion directly impact patients, team, and community.
Work Schedule
Schedule includes flexibility for evenings and weekends, but no on-call standby duty mentioned. This appears to be scheduled shift work, not on-call rotation.
About the Role
Juno Veterinary is building something genuinely different in Toronto's veterinary landscape. As an Associate DVM at the King West clinic, you'll be far more than a clinician—you're a clinic captain, mentor, and a key architect in Juno's mission to establish a gold-standard model of care that supports both pets and the professionals who care for them.
This is a full-time role with schedule flexibility, including evenings and weekends. You'll manage your own patient appointments and procedures while supporting colleagues, coaching less experienced team members, and actively shaping clinic culture through collaboration and continuous improvement. The focus is on medicine, surgery, and dentistry at the highest level—backed by a team that genuinely has your back.
Key Responsibilities

- Provide urgent/emergent triage and stabilization, with confidence in referring when appropriate
- Complete charting and clinical tasks efficiently and thoroughly
- Coach and mentor less experienced veterinarians and support staff
- Actively participate in team meetings to improve medical quality and clinic operations
- Build strong client relationships through proactive care planning, clear communication, and thoughtful conflict resolution
- Collaborate clinic-wide and company-wide with other veterinarians on challenging cases and clinical alignment
- Support clinic leadership in promoting Juno initiatives and understanding basic business metrics
- Expand your clinical scope through continuing education and advanced training
- Contribute to a one-team culture across Juno's clinic network
Requirements
- Current DVM license or eligibility to practice in Ontario
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on clinic experience
- Competence in general medicine: diagnosis and treatment of infectious, inflammatory, metabolic, degenerative, physiologic, and environmental diseases
- Surgical competence: feline and canine spay/neuter (including mature and large-breed dogs), cryptorchid neuter, umbilical hernia repair, mass removals, cystotomy, laceration repair, eyelid surgery, enucleation, and gastropexy (ideally)
- Dental competence: charting, radiograph interpretation, gingival flaps, burring and sectioning, extractions, and extraction site closure (ideally)
- Comfort with POCUS and abdominal ultrasound (a plus)
- Excellent time management and self-motivation during slower periods
- Strong communication skills—clear, compassionate, and collaborative with team and clients
- Problem-solving mindset with willingness to seek help and feedback
- Adaptability and comfort with change as Juno grows and evolves
- Genuine enthusiasm for teamwork, mentorship, and continuous professional growth
- Willingness to help with non-doctor tasks when needed
Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $125,000–$170,000 annually (with potential above range for exceptional experience)
- Performance bonus component for additional earnings
- Clear compensation discussion throughout the interview process
