Practice Manager

About the Role

Lynden Animal Clinic is seeking a Practice Manager who thrives on creating a vibrant, supportive team environment. Your day-to-day will involve managing team schedules, supporting talent acquisition by sourcing locum DVMs and RVTs, onboarding and coaching new team members, conducting reviews, and managing inventory, budgets, and financial operations. You'll also champion the practice on social media, highlighting the great work your team inspires. The practice prioritizes work-life balance and flexibility, whether you're seeking full-time or part-time arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and lead a collaborative team environment that fosters growth, engagement, and exceptional client experiences
• Manage team schedules and support talent acquisition efforts by recruiting locum DVMs and RVTs
• Provide onboarding, coaching, and professional development support to team members
• Conduct annual reviews and offer feedback to help your team grow
• Oversee inventory management, budgets, and all financial aspects of the practice
• Use empathy and problem-solving skills to resolve issues swiftly and ensure smooth operations
• Build the practice's presence through social media, showcasing team achievements and clinic updates
• Strive for operational excellence while maintaining a compassionate, friendly workplace

Requirements

• Team management and supervisory experience (2–3 years minimum)
• HR management experience essential for building an engaged team
• Financial and budget management experience
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
• Excellent communication skills—clear, concise, and inspiring
• Experience with conflict resolution and feedback delivery
• Flexibility to work varied hours as needed
• Veterinary industry knowledge and/or project management experience (recommended)
• Clinical veterinary experience (a plus)
• Veterinary software systems knowledge (an asset)
• Change management experience (preferred)
