Join a collaborative Vancouver team that values every team member. This hybrid role blends reception expertise with hands-on veterinary assistant work in a supportive, respectful environment.

About the Role

This hybrid position combines front-desk excellence with veterinary assistant responsibilities in a practice built on teamwork and mutual respect. You'll be the warm, welcoming face clients meet when they arrive—greeting them with genuine care, managing incoming calls with a courteous approach, and handling appointment scheduling with precision. Behind the scenes, you'll tackle administrative tasks like mail processing, correspondence, and report completion.

Your veterinary assistant duties will include educating clients (under veterinarian or RVT guidance) about medications, home care, vaccination schedules, and preventative health options. You'll work collaboratively to discuss lab work and testing recommendations, and handle animals with the calm, respectful approach that helps them feel safe and secure throughout their visit.

Vancouver South Animal Hospital operates as a cohesive team where open communication and clinical excellence go hand in hand. You'll have the flexibility to work part-time or full-time—whatever suits your life outside the clinic.
