Managing Veterinarian

About the Role

Mount Brydges Animal Clinic is looking for a Managing Veterinarian who's ready to lead with both clinical expertise and genuine care for people. This role offers real leadership autonomy—you'll shape medical protocols, mentor a team of experienced associates, and guide the practice's future direction while maintaining a healthy life outside work. No on-call duties mean predictable schedules and actual downtime to recharge.

You'll be stepping into a stable, collaborative environment where four veterinarians and 14 support staff work closely together. The practice is well-established, community-trusted, and equipped to handle diverse cases from preventative care and dentistry to soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, labour and delivery, and more. This is leadership that feels sustainable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of associate veterinarians in a collaborative, supportive setting
• Shape and implement medical protocols and clinical standards
• Guide practice direction and influence strategic decisions with organizational support
• Maintain high-quality patient care while fostering a positive workplace culture
• Develop clinical interests (surgery, dentistry, or new initiatives) and champion them within the practice
• Support team development and create an environment where both patients and staff thrive

Requirements

• Valid veterinary licence (Ontario)
• Experience as a veterinarian with demonstrated clinical competence
• Leadership experience or strong interpersonal skills and passion for mentorship
• Commitment to high-quality medicine and collaborative teamwork
