You'll take on primary clinical responsibility for small animal cases, from routine wellness to complex surgeries and emergencies. Your medical expertise, surgical confidence, and ability to make sound independent decisions will be essential. You'll collaborate closely with experienced RVTs, veterinary assistants, and client care staff who share your commitment to clinical excellence and respectful communication. A full-time schedule is standard, though flexibility is available if part-time arrangements work better for your situation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary clinical care for small animal patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and emergency response
• Perform surgical and dental procedures to a high standard
• Manage complex cases and make confident independent clinical decisions
• Lead and mentor RVTs, veterinary assistants, and support staff through clinical excellence and teamwork
• Contribute to a collaborative, communicative practice culture

Requirements

• 3–7 years of veterinary experience
• Hold or be eligible to hold a Private Practice licence in British Columbia at time of application
• High standard of medical expertise, including proficiency in surgical and dental procedures
• Ability to manage complex cases and respond confidently to emergencies
• Strong communication, teamwork, and emotional intelligence
