About the Role
Beck Veterinary Clinic in Edmonton, AB is seeking an experienced Veterinarian to join a compassionate, collaborative team committed to exceptional patient care. As the primary clinical lead, you'll leverage your medical expertise, surgical and dental proficiency, and strong decision-making skills to manage complex cases and respond to emergencies. Your role extends beyond patient care to mentoring and collaborating with experienced RVTs, Veterinary Assistants, and Client Care Reception staff. Whether you're seeking guidance from senior clinicians or offering leadership to junior team members, Beck values personalized mentorship that supports ongoing growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical veterinary care including diagnosis, treatment, and surgical procedures
- Perform dental procedures with confidence and technical proficiency
- Manage complex cases and emergency situations independently
- Collaborate with RVTs, Veterinary Assistants, and reception staff to deliver patient-centred care
- Contribute to a supportive, communicative team environment based on respect and clinical excellence
- Participate in professional development and mentorship (both offering and receiving guidance as appropriate)
Requirements
- 3–7 years of veterinary experience in general practice
- Hold or be eligible to hold a General Practice Registered Veterinarian license in Alberta at the time of application
- Demonstrated proficiency in surgical and dental procedures
- Ability to manage independent decision-making and complex cases
- Strong emotional intelligence and collaborative approach to veterinary medicine
