Key Responsibilities

• Perform surgical preparation, assistance, and patient recovery
• Conduct physical examinations and patient assessments
• Place catheters and monitor anesthesia during procedures
• Assist with radiology and venipuncture
• Manage pharmacy tasks and maintain detailed, accurate patient records
• Provide compassionate care for hospitalized patients and support their families
• Juggle multiple priorities while maintaining clinical standards
• Problem-solve collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with pet parents

Requirements

• Completion of a two-year Veterinary Technician diploma program
• Eligibility to register with OAVT (or new graduates welcome; the practice can support VTNE preparation)
• Knowledge of physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy
• Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues and pet parents
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Passion for learning and a genuine love for companion animals
