Weekends off, full clinical autonomy, and endless outdoor adventures at your doorstep—this Sudbury practice combines small-town warmth with modern medicine. Ready to practice exactly how you want?

About the Role

Chelmsford Animal Hospital is looking for a Veterinarian ready to join a growing, collaborative team in the heart of Northeastern Ontario. This isn't a cookie-cutter associate role—you'll have genuine autonomy to shape your days around what excites you most, whether that's appointments, surgery, dentistry, or a thoughtful mix of everything.

The practice sits in Chelmsford within Greater Sudbury, a region that delivers the best of both worlds: genuine small-town community feel paired with real city conveniences. Step outside the clinic and you're minutes from pristine lakes, hiking trails, and outdoor adventures that make this corner of Ontario genuinely special. Work-life balance isn't just a tagline here—weekends are yours, and the flexible schedule means you can actually use them to explore the region's natural beauty.

You'll be supported by a skilled, deeply engaged team with impressively low turnover, and backed by state-of-the-art equipment: digital radiology (including dental), ultrasound with cardiac capabilities, laser therapy, and a comprehensive IDEXX in-house laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care in a full-service small animal practice
  • Work with autonomy to focus on the areas of practice that interest you most (appointments, surgery, dentistry, or a combination)
  • Collaborate with a stable, highly involved team committed to compassionate patient care
  • Leverage modern clinic equipment and diagnostic tools to support clinical decision-making

Requirements

  • Valid DVM or veterinary degree and eligible to practice in Ontario
  • Full-time or part-time availability (both encouraged to apply)

Benefits

  • Competitive salary with bonus potential
  • Health and dental benefits
  • Generous vacation
  • Support for continued professional learning and development
  • Relocation assistance available for out-of-province candidates
  • Flexible schedule with guaranteed weekends off
