Client Care Specialist

About the Role

Don Valley Animal Hospital is seeking a Client Care Specialist to be the warm, welcoming face of the practice. You'll greet clients and their pets with genuine care, answer phones with a courteous approach, and book appointments while gathering detailed information. This role is about building positive relationships—screening calls thoughtfully, taking clear messages, and providing knowledgeable non-medical guidance to clients who have questions.

Beyond client-facing work, you'll handle administrative tasks: managing mail, drafting correspondence, completing reports, and supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy veterinary hospital. You'll work alongside experienced RVTs, veterinary assistants, and client care staff who value communication and clinical excellence. The practice offers flexible scheduling—whether you're looking for full-time or part-time hours, they'll work with you to find the right fit that respects your life outside of work.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients in a friendly, warm manner; create positive first impressions
• Answer incoming calls from current and prospective clients with a courteous, caring approach
• Screen calls appropriately and book appointments with detailed client information
• Take and distribute messages accurately to the clinical team
• Provide knowledgeable non-medical information to clients with questions
• Handle mail: receiving, sorting, distributing, and posting
• Draft memos, correspondence, and complete reports and ad-hoc document requests
• Support the administrative operations of the hospital

• Legal eligibility to work in Canada

Don Valley Animal Hospital has been a trusted part of the Don Mills community for over 35 years. Located west of the Don Valley Parkway on Lawrence Ave. E., across from the Shops on Don Mills, the practice offers a wide range of services including internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, nutrition, and behavioural counselling.
