About the Role

Ready for a change of pace? Hard Rock Animal Hospital welcomes veterinarians seeking to step back from urban intensity while staying engaged with meaningful clinical work. You'll work Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm, with shared on-call rotation responsibilities — giving you predictable weekdays and genuine downtime.

The practice offers the chance to work up challenging medical and surgical cases in a supportive environment. Whether you're an experienced veterinarian or a new graduate eager to learn, the team is committed to mentoring and professional growth. You'll provide a full range of services including routine care, emergency medicine, surgery, obstetrics, dentistry, and euthanasia.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose diseases and abnormal conditions in animals through physical examination and laboratory testing
• Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds, and performing surgical procedures
• Administer vaccinations to prevent and treat disease
• Advise clients on animal nutrition, housing, behaviour, breeding, hygiene, and general care
• Conduct routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations as needed
• Provide obstetric, dental, and euthanasia services
• Participate in shared on-call rotation

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
• Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities (Ontario CVO)
• English language proficiency
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-service focus
• Experience preferred, but the practice welcomes and will mentor new graduates
