This is a full-time position with no on-call responsibilities. You'll split your days between hands-on clinical work and the opportunity to shape the hospital's direction, mentor your team, and help guide strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical exams and perform diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures to the highest clinical standards
• Communicate clearly with clients about diagnoses, treatment options, preventive care, and nutrition—building trust and confidence
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure full compliance with hospital protocols
• Stay current with developments in veterinary medicine and bring new knowledge back to the team
• Represent the hospital professionally within the community and broader veterinary field
• Lead and support the clinical team (as Managing Veterinarian, depending on scope)
• Contribute to strategic decisions that shape the hospital's culture and direction

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited university
• Licensed to practice in Canada or eligible for licensure in Nova Scotia
• Commitment to gold-standard patient care, clear client communication, and building meaningful relationships
