Small Animal Veterinarian
A welcoming Calgary clinic with genuine work-life balance is seeking a confident GP vet who thrives on variety—surgery, dentistry, consultations, and a busy caseload, all without overnight shifts.
Work Schedule
No overnight care on site. Scheduled evening shifts (until 8pm) and Saturday rota duties shared among team; smooth transfer to emergency services when required. These are scheduled shifts, not standby on-call.
About the Role
Join a well-established, community-focused small animal practice in Calgary that genuinely values quality medicine and team culture. You'll work with a busy, varied caseload including consultations, case work-ups, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry—with the flexibility to work cases up in-house before referral when appropriate. There's no overnight care on site, so when emergency cases need specialist attention, they transfer smoothly to emergency services.
This role suits a confident GP vet who enjoys autonomy, appreciates building long-term client relationships, and thrives in a collaborative environment. You'll work a flexible 4-day week (10-hour shifts) with shared evening rotations (until 8pm) and weekend Saturday coverage. This schedule is designed to give you real breathing room—not the burnout grind some practices demand.
