About the Role

Carrington Animal Hospital seeks an experienced Veterinarian to deliver high-quality clinical care in a collaborative, supportive environment. You'll work with a skilled team of RVTs, Veterinary Assistants, and Client Care Receptionists who prioritize communication and clinical excellence. Your primary focus will be patient care, surgical procedures, dental work, and emergency response, with the autonomy to manage complex cases and lead the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide primary clinical veterinary care including medical diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient management
  • Perform surgical and dental procedures with confidence and proficiency
  • Manage emergency cases and respond to urgent patient needs
  • Make independent clinical decisions and take leadership responsibility for complex cases
  • Collaborate with RVTs and support staff to maintain high standards of animal care and client communication
  • Contribute to a culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • DVM degree or equivalent veterinary qualification
  • 3–7 years of veterinary practice experience
  • Hold or be eligible to hold a Private Practice license in British Columbia at the time of application
  • Proficiency in surgical and dental procedures
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to manage complex cases
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership qualities
  • Legal eligibility to work in Canada
