About the Role

Paradise Animal Hospital and Wellness Centre is seeking an Associate DVM to join their established practice just outside St. John's. You'll deliver personalized, high-quality clinical care in a collaborative environment where your expertise in surgery, dentistry, and emergency medicine is valued and your professional growth is supported.

This is a full-time position (with flexibility to discuss part-time arrangements) where you'll take on primary clinical responsibility, manage complex cases independently, and work alongside experienced RVTs, veterinary assistants, and a dedicated reception team. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care across small animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry
  • Manage complex cases and respond confidently to emergencies
  • Make independent clinical decisions and take ownership of patient outcomes
  • Mentor and collaborate with RVTs, veterinary assistants, and reception staff
  • Deliver exceptional, personalized care to patients and clients
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and professional development

Requirements

  • DVM degree
  • 3–7 years of veterinary experience
  • Proficiency in surgical and dental procedures
  • Hold or be eligible to hold a General Practice Registered Veterinarian license in Newfoundland & Labrador at the time of application
  • Strong medical expertise and ability to manage complex cases
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and teamwork skills
