About the Role
Welland Animal Hospital is looking for a Veterinarian who wants genuine flexibility—work 2–3 days per week (around 24 hours) and still feel part of a thriving practice. You'll be joining a busy, 2-DVM companion animal clinic that's been trusted by the community for over 50 years. You'll handle clinical care, surgery, dentistry, and emergency response with confidence. Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care for companion animals (cats and dogs) including examinations, diagnostics, and treatment
- Perform surgical and dental procedures with independent decision-making capability
- Manage complex cases and respond to emergencies with confidence
- Lead and mentor the RVT, Veterinary Assistant, and reception team
- Deliver comprehensive, compassionate veterinary care aligned with the practice's gold-standard philosophy
Requirements
- DVM with 3–7+ years of veterinary experience
- Hold or be eligible to hold a full General Veterinary License in Ontario
- Demonstrated proficiency in surgical and dental procedures
- Ability to manage complex cases and make independent clinical decisions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Guaranteed base salary + production (no negative accrual): $130,000–$150,000 CAD annually (based on 40 hours/week)
