About the Role

Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified Veterinary Radiologist to join its specialist team on a part-time basis. In this role, you'll leverage your advanced training to interpret diagnostic imaging, identify injuries and disease, and prepare detailed consultant reports for the surgical and medical teams. You'll work with complex, non-straightforward cases that demand exceptional problem-solving and a commitment to staying current with emerging imaging techniques and technologies.

This position offers the intellectual challenge of specialist practice with the flexibility of part-time scheduling. You'll collaborate across a multidisciplinary team of veterinary specialists and contribute to the development and refinement of the hospital's radiology service while mentoring colleagues and supporting a culture of team-based medicine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret advanced diagnostic imaging (CT, MRI, ultrasound, digital radiography) and provide detailed diagnostic reports
  • Consult with surgical, medical, and emergency specialists to guide patient care decisions
  • Diagnose complex and challenging cases requiring expert analysis
  • Collaborate on development, protocols, and quality improvement of radiology services
  • Mentor and coach veterinary colleagues in diagnostic imaging interpretation
  • Support a team-based, collaborative approach to patient care and colleague relations
  • Engage professionally with pet parents and the wider veterinary community

Requirements

  • Board-Certified Radiologist or residency-trained and eligible to sit for board examination
  • Advanced expertise with CT, MRI, ultrasound, and digital radiography equipment
  • Exceptional diagnostic problem-solving skills for complex cases
